3Who Can Challenge the Answer Key?

  • Every student who appeared for the NEET UG re-exam on July 4, 2026

  • Challenge Fee: ?200 per question. You pay even if your challenge is accepted or rejected.
  • Final Answer Key: NTA will review all challenges and release a final answer key before results.

5 How to Challenge the NEET Answer Key � Step by Step � What Is the Step by Step Process?

Follow these steps carefully before June 28.

  1. Go to the NTA Portal: Open exams.nta.ac.in/NEET in your browser.
  2. Log In: Enter your child's application number and date of birth. Add the security pin shown on screen.
  3. Click "Apply for Answer Key Challenge": You will find this button on your child's dashboard.
  4. Select the Question: Check the box next to the question number you want to contest.
  5. Choose Your Answer: Pick the option you believe is the correct one from the dropdown.
  6. Upload Proof: Create one PDF file with NCERT textbook pages. Keep it under 1 MB. Upload it here.
  7. Pay the Fee: Pay ?200 per question using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Save the payment receipt.

Take a screenshot of the confirmation page. It shows your challenge was submitted. Keep this for your records.

1. Waiting until the last day. The NTA website often slows down on the deadline. Submit your challenge at least one day before June 28.
